WEDDING

GOY-ROBINSON The marriage took place on Saturday at Holy Trinity Church, Greymouth, of Margaret (Peggy) only daughter of Mr. and Mrs. C. A. H. Robinson, of Guinness Street, to Robert, eldest son of Mr. and Mrs. G. Goy of Skegness, England.Archdeacon T. J. Smith officiated and Mrs. Baird presided at the organ. The Church was tastefully decorated with arches of flowers and lillies.

The bride jvho was escorted by her father, wore* a model gown of white sheex- georgette, cut on Princess lines, with a little Peter Pan collar, and a shirred bodice finished with a row of tiny buttons at. the back. The train which fell gracefully in a full panel from the skirt, was appliqued with satin bridal blossom and leaves. The embroidered veil was held in place by a coronet of orange blossom. She carried a sheaf of Madonna lillies. During the signing of the register, Mbs. C. Woollett sang the solo “My Task.” Frocks of light mauve and apple green were worn by the bridesmaids, Miss Edna Gilmore and Miss Helen Furniss. The frocks were made on fitting lines with full skirts and puffed sleeves, and were finished with tiny bows of velvet ribbon from neck to hem. Flower-trimmed halos of matching net and shoulder veils were worn and they carried bouquets of mauve and pink sweet peas. The flower girl, Miss Joan Moar, was frocked in apple green organdie made with a full skirt, and fitting bodice with a tiny Peter Pan collar. She wore a flower trimmed bouquet of apple green net, and carried a basket of mauve Sweet Peas.

Mr. Cliff Markland was best man and Mr. George Snelling of Christchurch was groomsman. The reception was held in Harker’s. Mrs. Robinson assisted by Mrs. Markland, representing the bridegroom’s mother, who is in England, received the guests, Mrs. C. Woollett again sang and Miss I. Macdonald gave a recitation. Mrs. Robinson wore a smart navy pinstriped costume with matching accessories and a shoulder spray of cream roses. Mrs. Markland wore - a navy and pink ensemble and a shoulder spray of pink roses. The newly-married couple left by rail car for the East Coast. The bride wore a fawn travel coat over a frock of delphinium blue with hat and shoes to tone.
