FREE FRENCH FORCES

COLONIAL 'SECTION CONTROL. [BRITISH OFFICIAL WIRELESS.] RUGBY, December 6. The Free French forces headquarters have announced that M. Richard Brunot, who was High Commissioner in the Cameroons at the time of the French-German .armistice, and who immediately took steps to continue the war against Germany, has just arrived in London. M. Brunot, who has been in the colonial service in French West Africa for the past 36 years, has offered his services to General de Gaulle. He has been put in charge of the colonial section of the Free French headquarters. After serving at various outposts, where he had been in close contact with the native population, he occupied important posts in French West Africa, Equatorial Africa, and the Cameroons. The intimate knowledge of colonial problems and prestige which M. Brunot enjoys with the European and native populations in Africa, will be a great help to Free France.
