WESTLAND COMMITTEE MEETING The* quarterly and adjourned annual meetings of the Westland Licensing Committee were held at Hokitika yesterday. Messrs F. McGregor, J. Kyle, J. B. Kent, and T. R. Chesterman were present. In the absence of Mr. Chisholm, S.M., Mr. McGregor was elected chairman. The application for renewal of an accommodation license by John Morressey in respect of the Wataroa Hotel was granted, the repairs required having been carried out. The renewal of the publican’s license for the Union Hotel, Greymouth, (George Robert Stribling, licensee) was also granted, the additional bathroom required having been installed. ' The following transfers were granted:— Paroa Hotel: Elizabeth Burger to John Edward Kennedy. Clydesdale Hotel, Ross: Frederick James Poole to Robert W. Parker. Terminus Hotel, Otira: Daniel G. O’Connor to Thomas Grenall Lewis.
