WOMEN’S AUXILIARY
DISTRICT COMMITTEE MEETING The Grey District Committee of the Women’s War Service Auxiliary met yesterday afternoon, at Greymouth. Apologies for absence were received from Mesdames Kitchingham, Smith, Anderson, Richmond, and Olson. The Dominion Secretary wrote, stating it is desired that women registered as V.A.D.’s should also register with the Auxiliary, their membership of the V.A.D.’s to be indicated on the Auxiliary card. Advice was received from Miss Morris, of Reefton, to the effect that she has arranged for the following classes: Signalling (instructress, Miss Potter). Morse (instruction to be arranged by the Postmaster). Institutional cookery (Technical School instructress). Mechanics (instructor, Mr. Latham). The secretary reported that classes at Greymouth have been arranged as follow: Signalling (instructresses, Girl Guides). Institutional cookery (instructress, Miss K. - McDonald. Classes to meet at the Technical School on Thursday evenings). Mechanical (Mr. W. Steer to arrange for an instructor). Keep Fit Class (instructress, Miss T. McDougall). All classes are to commence in the first week .of February. Early enrolment is advised, as only a limited number can be taken at one time.
