BOXING [BY CABLE —PRESS ASSN. —COPYRIGHT.] NEW YORK, November 30. . In the heavyweight boxing contest, Billy Conn (1751 lbs), gained the decision over Lee Avoid (1832 lbs). ROAD CYCLING The Greymouth Cycling Club held a 13-mile road race, from Karoro to Camerons and return, yesterday morning. Conditions favoured the riders and the times were good. The result was as follows: —D. Clarke (20 secs.) 1; J. Smith (55 secs) 2; G. Lalor (55) 3. Won by a length, six lengths. Fastest time was gained by D. Clarke, 31 min. 25 1-5 secs. Twelve competed. CROQUET. A return match was played by the home team at Runanga with the Greymouth juniors. Results: Mrs Sligo and Olsen (Greymouth) defeated Mrs. Timlin and Griffiths (Runanga), 26—13. Mrs Shannon and Bring (Greymouth) defeated Mrs Reynolds and Paterson (Runanga), 26—12. The following is the draw for the West Coast Association’s silver butter competition:— .
