RIFLE SHOOTING. Results of the Runanga Ladies’ Miniature Rifle Club’s weekly shoot

The hotty button was won by Miss Hamer, with a score of 65 off the rifle. The handicap trophy, donated by Mrs. Cust, was won by Mrs. Currie, in the shoot-off between the four top scorers. The team points secured were: Mrs. Finn’s 3, Mrs. Currie’s 2, Mrs. Pattison’s 1. At the meeting held afterwards,z it was decided to wind up the season by having the annual presentation of trophies at the conclusion of the final shoot on Thursday next. HOCKEY. At the Recration Ground on Saturday, Marist Old Boys defeated Marist School by five goals to four. Beban (2), Ryan, Ogilvie and Curnow scored goals for the winners, and McBride, O’Callaghan (2), and Meates for the School. CYCLING The Greymouth Cycling Club’s road race from Karoro to Camerons and retufn yesterday morning, resulted: T. Lalor 1, D. Clarke (who secured fastest time) 2, J. Critchley 3.
