DAYLIGHT SAVING. [BY CABLE —PRESS ASSN. —COPYRIGHT.] LONDON, September 20. Daylight saving in Britain will now end on the night of November 16-17, instead of on October 6, as usual. B.E.F. CHAPLAINS. LONDON, September 20. The Church of England announces that B.E.F. chaplains totalled 436 of all demoninations. Two were killed, 33 were taken prisoner, nine are missing and 11 wounded. Twentythree were decorated or mentioned in despatches. RUMANIA’S HELPLESSNESS (Recd. Sept." 21, 10.45 a.m.). BUCHAREST, September 20. General Antonescu, broadcasting, said that the Rumanian army was unarmed and completely demoralised. If the frontiers were attacked now, it would be one of the greatest catastrophes in history. General Antonescu blames exKing Carol’s regime for the ' conditions. V INTEREST-FREE LOANS. RUGBY, September 20. The British Government has accepted with gratitude the offer of the Kenya and Uganda Railways and Harbours Administration, to lend the Government a second £lOO,OOO, free of interest, for the duration of the war. The first loan of £ 100,000 was made in July.
RED CROSS FUND. RUGBY, September 20. ’ ' Rising by £35,000, yesterday,, the Lord Mayor’s Red Cross Fund now stands at £3,173,000.
