OBITUARY
MR THOMAS B. DIXON. The death occurred at his residence, No. 3 Cowper Street, Greymouth, this morning, of Mr Thomas Benjamin Dixon, aged 62 years. Deceased was a native of Greymouth and was a member of one of the oldest families in the town, Dixon Park being named after his father, who was the first to propose the use of the area as a recreation reserve. Deceased was a partner in the firm of B. Dixon, Ltd., booksellers and stationers, and was actively associated with the business until ill-health caused him to be confined to his home about two months ago. For many years he had been an officer of the Church' of Christ, formerly holding the position of Church secretary. He is survived by his "wife and two sisters, Misses Lydia and Grace Dixon, who reside in Cowper Street.
