CAUSING DISAFFECTION
CLERGYMAN GAOLED. LONDON, July 30. Rev. Trevor Bowen, of Kington, Herefordshire, was sentenced to three months’ imprisonment at Kington yesterday on a charge of causing disaffection among two soldiers. , Pte. Charles Carter said that Bowen said to him: “Now that France has capitulated we might as well lay down our arms and give up the fight.” Bowen stated that he. had no conversation with the soldiers on the international situation. He had denounced 'the Nazi regime from the pulpit.
