The Rumanian-Hungarian negotiations were suspended this morning, and are being resumed later. Rumania is reported to have informed Hungary that the proposal for the return of two-thirds of Transylvania could not be considered. Rumania issued counter-proposals for the exchange of population, and cession to Hungary of sufficient territory to cover the exchange. The Hungarians sought time to consider Rumania’s reply- . ~ ~ Rumanian-Bulgarian negotiations on the future of south Dobrudja opened at Craiova. JUGOSLAV EXPULSIONS. LONDON, August 19. The “Daily Mail" says rnac its iselgrade correspondent, Mr Atherton (not Atkinson) has not been expelled from Jugoslavia.
RUMANIAN OIL COMPANY.
BERLIN, August 19.
The German News Agency says that Rumania has appointed a Government Commissioner to take over the Concordia Oil Company, a million sterling Franco-Belgian oil company, pany.
SMYRNA FAIR.
RUGBY, August 19.
Messages of good will will be broadcast in the Turkish language by Lewd Lloyd and Mr. Amery, to-morrow, at 6.10 p.m., G.M.T., to inaugurate the 8.8. C. exhibit at the famous Smyrna Fair, which takes the form' of a pylon 20 feet high, from which English, Turkish, and French news bulletins from London will be relayed throughout the day.,
