MAKO-SABIN SUSPENSIONS. [BY CABLE —PRESS ASSN. —COPYRIGHT.] NEW YORK, December 6. The Lawn Tennis Association announces that C. G.’Mako and W. Sabin have been declared ineligible for amateur tennis because of alleged violations of the amateur regulations. The suspension is temporary pending final action by the executive on February 9. Both, are accused of violating the regulations, first by receiving living and other expenses from tennis organisations for more than eight weeks in 1939, and second by receiving travelling expenses in excess of the amounts the association has approved. The chairman (Mr Louis J. Carruthers) said that the association had not previously decreed a temporary suspension.
