WEST COAST DREDGES
RETURNS FOR OCTOBER The following are the returns from the West Coast dredges for October:
BARRYTOWN. . During October the Barrytown dredge ran 329. hours, and treated 123,000 cubic yards, for a return oi 696 ounces of gold. KANIERI. During October the Kanieri dredge ran 495 hours and treated 246,000 cubic yards, for a return of 1258 ounces of gold. ARAHURA. During October the Arahura dredge ran 561 hours' and treated 403,000 cubic yards, for a return of 1254 ounces of gold. MOSSY CREEK. The Mossy Creek dredge return for the period ended yesterday was 21oz 6dwt. The dredge is still confronted with heavy pug. WELLINGTON ALLUVIALS. The directors of Wellington AUuvials, Ltd., New South Wales, announce that during the four weeks ended October 14, the dredge worked 557 hours, handling 257,000 cubic yards and recovered bullion estimated to contain 1157 ounces of fine gold.
