The Judge at Westminster County Court made an order for possession of a flat in Pimlico, against a New Zealand born defendant, who described himself as Count Potocki of Montalk, heir-general to the Kings of Poland, the Grand Dukes of Lithuania, the Dukes of Silesia- and the Gospodars of Moldavia. Defendant appeared in Court in a long red and white blouse. His hair reached to Ills waist. He declared that he and his wife wished to swear by Apollo, which the Judge allowed when Potocki refused to make the ordinary affirmation. ■ When the Judge made an order, because of arrears of rent, Potocki remarked: I sincerely hope that Herr Hitler wins the war, your Honor. The Judge: See that this man leaves the Court immediately. He is unable to behave himself.
