Earl McCready (Canada), retained his title in a professional heavyweight wrestling match with “Lofty” Blomfield on Saturday night. Blomfield held him to a draw, neither managing to take a fall. The bout was comparatively placid and was an exhibition of clean, orthodox matcraft rarely interrupted by rough play or spectacular incidents. Infringements were unusually rare, and the referee was seldom called on to intervene. The Town Hall was packed, many standing, ami the crowd, which included many uniformed men. gave the two men a rousing reception. McCready weighed 17st and Blomfield 16st 81b.
