In response to many from organisations and friends in the: Mei district, Mr. John Kilkenny has con sented to accept nomination ioi inc position of Mayor of Westport, whicl became vacant on his resignati cently. His nomination paper deposited with the Town Clerk on Sat urday. He was nominated by Messrs G Taylor, C. H. Thomas, N. O Dea, W P Caldwell, J. Radford (members of the Westport Borough Council , D. 1 Archer (chairman of the Bullci County Council), Mr. W. H. Mcliityrc, M L C. (chairman of the Bullei Hospi a) Board), and Mr. W. P. Jackson (secretary of the Buller Labour Repiesentation Committee).
