QUEEN CARNIVAL, A meeting of the Central Execu Live of tlio West Coast Rugby League’s Queen Carnival was held on Tuesday evening, Mr P. Blanchfield, Jun., presiding over a. full attendance. The Treasurer, Mr A. Kyle, reported that the carnival was making favourable progress, a,nd t he positions of the Queeps were as folio v:—Marist 1, Blackball 2, Runanga 3. Mr T. F. McKenzie (organiser) outlined the various proposals yet to be given effect to for a concerted effort over the last two weeks of the carnival. Returns received since the meeting have resulted in the Blackball Queen displacing the Marist. Queen in the lead. Last evening, Messrs P. Blanchfield, A. Kyle, W. Hopkins and T. F. McKenzie attended a full meeting of the Nelson Creek Club, when the workings of the Centre and the Queen Carnival proposals were outlined. The Club promised its support, and indicated that it hoped to be able to place a senior team in the field next season.
