The Salvation Army has elected Commissioner George L. Carpenter, of Canada, an Australian by birth, as the new General. The final ballot resulted: Commissioner Carpenter 35 votes, Commissioner Bramwell Booth eight. Lieulen-ant-Comniander Orsborn six. Then' were two blanks.
