Fifteen New Zealanders are among the 700 entries, coming from most of the Australian States, for Queensland’s biggest croquet carnival. The New Zealanders are entered individually for tournament play, and as three teams (New Zealand No. 1. North Island and South Island) for the tests. The' tournament began to-day. New Zealand winners in the Rose Bowl Competition were: R. W. MeCreath 2G/13, and J. Thompson 26/10. The scores of the remainder of the Now Zealanders to-day were: Mrs. Nicholson .19/6, Griffin 26/12, Thompson 20/17, Bagrie 2G/6, Bryant 20/11, Brown 18/14. In the Mrs. Fisher’s Trophy Competition, N.Z. scores: were: McCreath 26/10, Pritchard 24/17. New Zealand losers in the Rose Bowl were Gambrill 7/26. Palmer 18/26.
