EXTRADITION ORDER
GRANTED AT AUCKLAND. fPEB PBESS ASSOCIATION.] AUCKLAND, Avgust 22. A man arrested in Auckland on a provision warrant, issued in Melbourne (Victoria) on .July I. Thomas Kredel ick BergholT. 42, appeared in thU| Magistrate’s Court before Mr I'. *l.j Levien, S.M.. who made an order tori !>m extradition to .Melbourne in the custody of Detective - J- White. Berghoff was charged that at Praham, Victoria, between May I'3 and .Tune 23, being a clerk or servant in the- employ of the Singer Sewing Machine Company, ho stole a sewing machine. Detective White produced the original warrant, which he said he had read to the accused. Berghoff admitted that he was the person named in the warrant. Detective White asked that the accused' bo remanded to Melbourne <
where the offence- was alleged Io hare been committed, and where the original warrant was issued. Evidence was also given by Detcc-Live-Sergeant Trethcwey, who said that he arrested the accused by virtue of a. provisional warrant. The S.M. then made an order xor the accused's extradition. Escorted by Detective While, the .accused will leave this evening in the Monowai for Australia.
