A disappointing lack of enthusiasm in defence matters is, being shown by many of the students at the Auckland University College, who, some weeks ago. signified their willingness to join a military unit being formed at the college, says the Auckland “Star.” A meeting was held, at which high enthusiasm was shown. Enlistment forms were placed in the college office, to be taken and filled in by those wishing i.o '’.ioin. In tho first week or so after a decision had been made to form a unit, over 150 forms wore- taken. Since then, however, barely one third of the forms taken away have been returned.
