The first comment on the AngloTurkish pact, appearing in the semiofficial “Politika,” points out that Turkey has abandoned neutrality, which’has always been the policy of her Entente allies. She has finally lined up with the democracies. Official circles refer to the great triumph of British policy, and express the opinion that, it will have a decisive influence on the foreign policy oi the. Balkan States. STEP TOWARDS PEACE FRONT. (Recd. May 16, 10.40 a.m.) MOSCOW, May 15. “Izvestia" declares that the AngloTurkish agreement is a step towards the creation of. an effective peace front, in the face of any further extension of aggression. It adds that the vital interests of Turkey make such a policy imperative. Turkey has long been'the Objective of the appetites of aggressive countries, owing to her strategical importance as sovereign of the Black Sea Straits.
GERMAN RETALIATION?

LONDON, May 15.
The Berlin correspondent of the British United Press says it is reliably stated that Count Ciano will arrive on May 21. He is expected to stay for several days, during which the ceremonial signing of tile German-Italian military agreement will take place. Herr Hitler is expected to make an important speech, stressing the combined military weight of Italy and Germany.
Well-informed Nazi circles are of the opinion that the Government is planning retaliation for the AngloTurkish pact. They hint that it mav withdraw diplomats from Poland and Turkey, and even from Britain.
