CALCUTTA, April 17. Twenty-five were killed and 26 injured, when express and mail trains crashed head-on. on the Eastern Bengal railway. ITALIAN FLAG INCIDENT. - CALCUTTA, April 17. The Italian Consul-General has protested to the Government of Bengal against an insult to the Italian flag, which was allegedly hauled down from the Consulate, and cut by scissors, by an unknown woman, stated to be British.

The “Daily Mail” says that, police took the finger-prints of guests and members of the family of the Duke and Duchess of Marlborough and records of finger-prints on the furniture, after the discovery of the thefts of miniatures and medallions, family treasures worth £2OOO, from the cabinet room at Blenheim Palace. LONDON, April 17. Eighteen hundred people paid a sacred tribute to Mr Lyons, at a Solemn Requiem Mass at Westminster 1 Cathedral, at which Cardinal Hinsley l officiated. Mr Jordan was present.
