TWO PRISONERS DISCHARGED. [by CABLE —PRESS ASSN. —COPYRIGHT.] (Received March 10, 1 p.m.) LONDON, March 9. Joseph Broderick and Nora Glenn were discharged, owing to insufficient evidence. Broderick was one of seven men, arrested at Manchester, on January 18, on a charge relating to the Explosives Substances Act. It was alleged that they had in their possession various substances, including 40 sticks of gelignite, “in such circumstances as to give rise to the reasonable suspicion that, they did not have possession for a lawful object.” Nora Glenn and her sister, Mary, were charged at Manchester, on January 23, with having unlawful possession of, among other things, two Mills bombs, 49 sticks of gelignite, ten electric detonators, and an alarm-clock, fitted with an electric connection.
