PIHA MYSTERY
SENSATIONAL SEQUEL GRAVE OPENED. COFFIN EMPTY [PEB PBESB ASSOCIATION.] AUCKLAND. March 10. A sensational sequel to the Piha fire mystery, and the allegation that Gordon Thomas McKay, a Sydney business man, was burnt to death, occurred to-day, when the Auckland police opened the comparatively-new grave at the Waikumete cemetery, to find that the coffin was empty. Subsequently. James Arthur TaMrnt. the companion o£ McKay at Piha when the bach was burnt, was arrested by detectives, on a charge of improperly interfering with human remains. He will appear in Court, to-morrow.
