A “Manchester Guardian” leader says: Old cricketers may deplore that another famous record has been equalled, but no cricket-lover will begrudge Bradman his latest honour, or deny that on a good wicket, he is the most remarkable batsman since Ranjitsinhji.

Hampton, E. Grenfell, B. Morris, P. Davis, C. Candlish. The team will be captained by Stokes, who played in Canterbury’s Plunket Shield team last season, and in one match for Canterbury this s'eason. Both Marist and Runanga junior teams drawn to play Technical, win by default.

Mr. B. Rathbun has been appointed manager of the Greymouth Colts team to play Hokitika. Any player unavailable is to inform the secretary, Mr. T. E. H. King.

W. Tindale will replace M. Marshall in the Greymouth team to meet Hokitika at Hokitika on Sunday. Marshall was not available. Brunner are unable to field a team against Marist to-morrow, Marist thus winning by default. The School v. Old Boys match set down for Cobden, will now be played’ on the No. 2 wicket at the Recreation Ground.
