FAT CATTLE IMPROVE

There wore heavy entries in the sheep sections at yesterday's Addington marki-t. .Store and fat lambs sold well, the latter at a reduced schedule, but fat sheep lost a good deal of the recovery of last week. Ewes were (town by 1/6 to 2/- a head for the best sorts, freezing sorts being unchanged, and good wethers wore down by a full shilling. A fairly largo entry of fat. rattle met with a better .sale, good steers improving by 10 - to 15,'- a head.

Store sheep. The entry was monopolised by larnbs, there being approximately i 1.000 forward, The best of those wore bought at 18/4, for the works. Medium to good lambs at from 12/- to 14/- showed no change in value, and a big percentage of small and hackward changed hands at from 8/to 9/6. with culls about 6/- to 7/-. Dairy cows: Only 65 head wore offered, and values were slightly easier. Best cows and heifers sold at £ll and average sorts at from £6 to £7/10/-. Fat pigs: Prices for porkers wore on a par w’ith last week until the last few races, when they eased to export parity, which is a farthing per lb. lower than last week. Baconers and choppers showed little variation. Values were: Light porkers. 36/6 to 42/6. Medium porkers, 43/6 to 47/6. Heavy porkers. 48/6 to 52/6. Extra heavy porkers. 52/6 to 57/6.
