MR. ROOSEVELT
A SUSPECT ARRESTED. (by CABLE —PRESS ASSN. —COPYEIGHT.] (Recd. July 18, 8 a.m.) SANTA ANA (Calif.), July 17. William Bond, 60, ambulance service operator, was arrested this afternoon, when a loaded revolver was found in his pocket. He insisted passing on through the police lines in order to shake hands with Mi* Roosevelt, while the President was lunching in the public park. Later Bond was released, officials terming him harmless. Mr Roosevelt finished the ineal, unaware of the incident. He is sailing this evening aboard the cruiser Houston, leisurely fishing off Mexico and Central America, including Galapagos and Cocos Isles, whereafter he is going through the Panama Canal, returning to the United States on August 9.
