VISITS TO NEW ZEALAND. [per pbess association.] AUCKLAND, April 27. Confidence that the Australian cricket authorities will in future. do more to assist New Zealand cricket, was expressed' by Mr W- R. Free (chairman of the Auckland Cricket Association), who returned by the Wanganella from Sydney. He said it was expected that a strong Australian team would visit the Dominion in 1940. He had discussed the possibility of a New South Wales team being sent to Auckland to play a couple of matches, and the authorities had agreed that, if proper representations were made to the Australian Board of Control, tlie proposal would receive every consideration.
