WEATHER FORECAST. General inference: A trough of low pressure lying in a north to south direction is beginning to cross the Dominion. Centres of low pressure in this trough are situated respectively in the far south, and west of Cape Maria Van Diemen. Pressure is rising in Eastern Australia. Forecast: Moderate to strong northeast to northerly winds, changing tonight to west or south-west. Weather cloudy to overcast and rain probable, with some heavy falls. Seas moderate but rising somewhat. Temperatures mild.
