CHRISTCHURCH, April 27. After negotiations entered into yesterday between Mr. T. H. McCombs, M.P., and Mr. J. S. Robertson, manag-ing-director of the Westland Shipping Company, Ltd., Mr.' Robertson has of- - fered to recommission the Tees for a 'final, trip to the Chatham Islands on 3 condition that the Seamen’s Union at Wellington supplies a new crew, with the exception of the boatswain and the boy, whom the company is prepared to re-engage.

This offer has been, conveyed to Mr. T. Walsh, president of the union, and he is expected to arrive at Lyttelton to endeavour to effect a. settlement.
