PRENTICE—PANK H URST The marriage was solemnised yesterday afternoon at St. Stephen’s Church, Reefton, by Rev. C. Tanner, of Constance McKinley, fifth daughter of Mr. and Mrs. D. Pankhurst ol Reefton, and William Jaketh, elder son of Mr. and Mrs. W. N. Prentice, of Auckland. The organist was Mi.ts Doreen Walslehen (school chum of the bride) of Stoke. The bride, who entered the church (which was decorated by friends), escorted by her father, chose a gown ol parchment satin, slim fitting with high waistline, leg of mutton sleeves, and unusual twin points at the neck, finished with a. spray of orange blossoms, and a flowing circular scalloped train. A veil of parchment cut silk tulle and Breton lace was held in place by a gold halo 01. orange bios- ; sums, and a. sheath ot Madonna lilies completed the toilette. The bride , was attended by her sister. Mrs. W. Hunt as matron of honour, and Miss ( June Pankhurst as bridesmaid. Their ; gowns were lavender laconne cloque, princess style, finished at. the neck , and waistline with sprays 01. pink . flowers. They wore coronets of lavender and pink flowers, and carried ] shower bouquets to tone. The bride's nieces, Pauline Pankhurst and Klen- , da Hocking, wore pink georgette redingot.es, with rosebud circlets on the head, and carried baskets of flowers. Stan Allen, of Blenheim, was best man, and Mr. John Dellaca of Reel ton was groomsman. At the reception in the Masonic Hall, the guests were received by th ebride’s mother, assisted by the bridegroom’s mother, the former wearing a heavy black wool-crepe-de-chene ensemble with black velour hat and posy, the latter in a navy mariette ensemble and navy velour hat. The newly-married couple left later by car tor Greymouth, en route to Auckland, the bride wearing a frock of fine worsted tweed in Lon-don-tan. trimmed with honey gold cloque. They carried sheaf bouquets of pink and lemon abutilons, chrysanthemums, and maidenhair fern. The flower girl, niece of the bride, wore a pale green georgette frock and carried a posie of roses. She presented Ihe bride with a silver horseshoe, as she left the church. Mr. A. Gordon, brother of the bridegroom, was best man, Mr. IT. Feary, brother of the bride, was groomsman. The bride’s mother received her guests wearing a navy blue floral frock, with hat and coat, to match. She carried a bouquet, of Autumn-tinted chrysanthemums. The bride’s mother was assisted by the bridegroom’s sister, Mrs. A. Warren, of Wellington. The bridegroom’s gifts to the maids were gold bracelets and to the flower girl a brooch.
