MANAGEMENT COMMITTEE MEET The West Coast. Rugby Union’s Management Committee met last even ing, there being present: —Messrs A. A. Adams (chairman), F. Eggleton, J. Kyle, W. G. Scott, B. J. Kilpatrick, D. R. Dowell, J.'Steel, A. M. Jamieson. F. W. Baillie, T. P. Ryan. 11. Silcock, and O. McLean (secretary). On the application of the Cobden Club, B. Watkins, S. Owensworth, and R. Barlow were reclassified from senior to junior grade. The Old Boys’ Club, Christchurch, wrote asking that a game be arranged for their junior team at Grey mouth on Sunday, May 8. The Chairman said that, personally, he did not think the Union should encourage the arrangement of Sunday fixtures. The match could certainly not. be played on the Union’s ground. It was decided to advise the club that the Union did not arrange Sunday fixtures, and that if the, club wished to arrange a match, they should communicate with one of the West Coast clubs. The newly-formed Otira club wrote asking for a donation of a football.— It was decided that no action be taken, and that tho club be advised that tho Union did not supply footballs to clubs. Tho Magpies Club (Camerons) forwarded £l/1/- affiliation fee, and £3/3/- insurance fund premium. The Technical School nominated one third grade team, and two fourth grade teams in the Union’s competitions. The Celtic Club wrote asking permission to print and sell programmes for all representative matches at Greymouth during the coming season. — Granted.

Messrs. Baillie and Kilpatrick were appointed to inspect the South Beach ground. ' The Westland Su!>Unipn wrote asking the Union to keep June 18 (Saturday) clear, in view of the- annual severt-a-sido tournament at Hokitika; and also the last Saturday before the first Section.
