SYDNEY CENOTAPH

NEW ZEALAND WREATH. [BY CABLE PRESS ASSN. COPYRIGHT.] SYDNEY, April 26. While it> was next to impossible to obtain an unobstructed 1 view yesterday) of the wealth of magnificent ■wreaths and flowers covering. the Cenotaph and extra enclosures, it was much easier to-day to obtain a reasonable glimpse, although crowds were still filing past. An extremely large addition is a fine wreath jfrom the Australian Government. There is an imposing floral tribute to the war heroes from New Zealand ex-servicemen. Its height is at least five feet. It depicts an outline of New Zealand, composed of red poppies, An which the letters 1 “N.Z.” in orange, are inset in the centre of the i North and South Islands. It is estimated that more than two thousand floral tributes were placed on or near the Cenotaph, including those of the New Zealand Army Sisters, New Zealand commercial travellers, and New Zealand Trade Commissioner in Australia.
