BROADBENT'S PROGRESS. ’ ALLAHABAD, April 20. '■ Broadbent, who is attempting to break the Australia-England flight record, arrived at 7.7 a.m. Greenwich Mean Time and left later for Karachi. (Recd. April 21, 10 a.m.) BOMBAY, April 20. Broadbent left Jodhpur at 8.22 p.m. (local time). He is expected to fly non-stop to Basra. He passed over Karachi at midnight. An earlier message stated that Broadbent landed at Jodhpur at 3.30 p.m., from Allahabad. FRENCH BOMBER EXPLODES. (Received April 21, Noon). PARIS, April 20. Five were killed when a bomber exploded above the military aerodrome at Lyons.
HAWKE’S BAY FUNERAL.
HASTINGS, April 20.
There was a very large attendance at the funeral of Miss Nellie Arnott and Mr R. B. Arnott, victims of the air crash at Matapiro, which took place to-day. There were approximately 70 motor-cars in the procession. An aeroplane belonging to the Hawke’s Bay and East Coast Aero Club followed the procession from Hastings to the Eskdale cemetery, and circled over the cemetery-
