RELATIONS WITH GERMANY. [BY CABLE PLESS ASSN. COPYEIGHT.] PRAGUE, April 16. The President of Czechoslovakia (M. Benes), in opening the peace celebrations in Parliament said: “We honestly believe in good relation with Germany. However, peace can only be preserved if all regimes je train scrupulously from interfering directlv and indirectly in the affairs'ot neighbouring States. Czechoslovakia will do her utmost to relieve the tension in Europe, but will strongly an steadfastly refuse to be impressed by any ideologistic bloc. The forces foi peace in Europe are stronger thai they seem. 1 refuse to consider that an ‘armed conflict is inevitable.” M. Benes issued a decree announcing the largest amnesty for political I prisoners in the history of Czechoslovakia. The Sudeten Germans will benefit to the extent of about 1000' men.
