DUFFY’S TWO WINS [FEB FBESS ASSOCIATION.] CHRISTCHURCH, April 17. The Cust Spoils Club held its annual sports meeting at Higgins Park on Saturday. Part of the track leading out of the straight proved a severe obstacle to competitors in the cycling events. In spite of the heaviness of the track the times recorded were good. There, was a. fair attendance. The one and a-half miles grass track cycling championship was held, and Mrs. P. Rowe presented the winner, Duffy, with the blue ribbon. The following were the cycling results: —- One Mile 'Handicap—V. Henderson (120 yds.) 1: J. Henderson (100yds.) 2, Molone 3. Won by a length in a closcly-con tested 11 n ish.

Two Miles Cost Wheel Race —Duffy (scr.) 1. A. Clemence (30yds.) 2; J, Archer (160 yds.) 3. At the end of this lap the backmarkers were close at hand and they caught .the limit men halfway round and then puffing on the pace made the race too hard. Only four finished. Ten competitors faced the 'starter, but the event was not a good one, the pace being. slow, and there seemed to be a certain reluctance on the part of some to take a lap.
