BOLITHO—McHENRY.

At St. Stephen’s Church, Reefton. on Wednesday afternoon, Rena Isabel, elder daughter of Mr. and Mrs. L. McHenry of Black’s Point, was married to Wilfred Gordon, third son of Mr. and Mrs. James Bolitho, of Crushington. The bride was escorted by her father and was gowned in cream satin royal, with, bodice trimmed from the neckline at. the back with tiny crystal buttons, and in front with a spray of orange blossom. The train which was long, fell in soft folds from the back and the sleeves were tightfitting and formed points over the hands. A tulle veil in halo style was pleated and her bouquet was of lilies, stocks and maiden hair fern. Two sisters of the bride, Misses Melva and Alma McHenry were the bridesmaids, in frocks of lettuce green crepe beaute, shirred at the armholes. They both wore contrasting sashes, and the skirts were shaped to the hips, and slightly flared at' the hemline. Silver haloes, and silver shoes with bouquets of arum lilies, daisies and maiden hair fern completed the toilettes. Mr. Janies Bolitho junr., was best man and Rev. C. Tanner performed the ceremony, Mrs. Discaciati officiating at the organ. At the wedding reception held at Black’s Point Hall, Mrs. McHenry, mother of the bride received the guests in a navy outfit with hat and shoes to match. Mrs. Bolitho, mother of the bridegroom wore a brown suit with brown shoes aud hat. CH AMBERLA IN—RYAN At St. Joseph’s Church, Papanui, the wedding was celebrated recently of Charles Chamberlain, formerly of Rewanui, eldest son of Mr. and Mrs; R. Chamberlain (Domain Terrace) to Veronica Ryan, formerly of Wallseud, eldest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. W. Ryan, Wairarapa Road. During the Nuptial Mass, which was celebrated by the Rev. Father J. Hanrahan, Gounod’s “Ave Maria” was sung by Miss Eileen Ryan, sister of the bride, accompanied on the organ by Miss Joan Owens.

They wore also shoulder-length veils of stiffened tulle to match their frocks, and their flowers were lemon abutilons and fuchsias. Mr. Charles A. Harrow Ayas best man and Mr. Dennis Chamberlain Avas groomsman.

A reception was held in Death’s grey room. The guests were received by the bride’s mother, Avho wore an ensemble suit of black cloque relieved with Avhite at the neckline, and a shoulder spray of red carnations. Her black hat was also trimmed with white. The bridegroom’s mother wore a black marocain frock, a short coat of black and silver taffeta, and a black hat. Her shoulder spray Avas of pink carnations. For travelling, the bride wore a. blue Harris tweed suit, a navy cire satin blouse, and a navy hat.
