The death took place yesterday at Milton, Otago, of Mr. Harry Cullance, an old South Westland settler. He was born at Ballarat, Victoria, and was 77 years of age. He went to Okuru when a boy and lived nearly 60 years in that district. He walked over the i'Taast Pass with his family and livestock a few years ago. He is survived by his wife and family of .six sons and two daughters. Mr. Joseph Callance, of Hokitika is a brother.

Messrs L. Jackson, F. Eggleton, W. Kells, J. Crooks, T. Gilmour, and G. Anderson wished Mr Gilbert the best of health and success in England.
