The boxer, Max Baer, angered at what he considered insults from the members, stalked out of the meeting ‘of the Athletic Commission, at which he appeared to apply for the renewal of his boxing license. His manager announced that he and Baer would ignore the bout arranged with Pastor, and would sail on March 3 for England to begin training. This action made it unnecessary for Brigadier-General A. C. Critchley, the London promoter, to appear before the association. BARLUND DEFEATED. NEW YORK, February 25. Nathan Mann outpointed Gunner Barlund in a 10-round bout. This is Bar land’s first defeat in the United States.
