CASE AT BALCLUTHA. DUNEDIN, February 21. Two children, twins aged four years, were admitted to the Balclutha Hospital to-day. One, a boy, is a positive case of infantile paralysis. The other, a girl, was admitted for observation. IN S. CANTERBURY. GERALDINE, February 21. The report that a. positive case of infantile paralysis had been diagnosed at Geraldine caused concern in the township, and business men complained that the report was misleading. Enquiries revealed the fact that a positive case of a boy of nine years had been reported from Epworth, two miles south of Temuka, and this is probably the case referred to, because Epworth is in the Geraldine county area, and is regarded as being in the Geraldine health district. A suspected case was also reported from Hilton, six miles from Geraldine. The case was a boy of 11 years, who had been sent to the Timaru Hospital. The case of a man aged 28 years who was sent to Timaru Hospital on Saturday, severely paralysed, was from the Waitohi district, nine miles from Geraldine. No cases have been reported from the Geraldine borough or the immediate environs of the town.
