QUEENSLAND CYCLONE
SHIP SENDS SOS. i [BY CABLE —PBESS ASSN. —COPYBIGHT.] BRISBANE, February 19. (Recd. February 20, 8 a.m.) The weather in Queensland, and for miles out at sea, is extremely bad. A terrific cyclone, accompanied by the thickest -weather, has disorganised shipping. An SOS call to-day was received from the freighter Babinda, which is disabled 100 miles north of Brisbane, with a broken intermediate engine shaft. The liner Orungal received the message, and is now standing by, but is unable to get a line aboard. Two other freighters Turakina and Bingera are hastening to the scene. LATER. The Orjhngal has taken the disabled Babinda in tow", and should reach port this morning.
