General damages of £7OO, and special damages amounting to £lO6/11/10, were awarded to Albert William Lewis, against -William Janies Harvey Coop, in the Supreme Court, for injuries received in a motor accident in the city last year. Coop, a farmer, of Ataahua, Kaituna, admitted liability, and there was no dispute about the special damages. Lewis, a newspaper copy-holder, claimed £9OO general damages and the amount to be awarded thereon was the only matter requiring the attention of the jury.
