SYDNEY FIRE SYDNEY, July 20.

Fire occurred to-night in what is regarded as a dangerous zone of the city at Surry Hills, when the top floor of a five-storey building occupied bv the Commonwealth Drug Company was found well alight, large quantities of inflammable materials and liquids making a spectacular sight witnessed for miles.

Five firemen were severely burnt on the faces, arms and bodies, when two drums of oil exploded and sprayed them, necessitating their removal to the hospital. The fire destroyed the top and severely damaged the lower floors and contents. The damage to the building and stock amounts to £lOOO.
