HOKITIKA NOTES
[OUB OWN COBBKSPONDSWT.J HOKITIKA, August 10. Tho ceremony of induction of the now vicar of the Hokitika parish was conducted by the Rev. R, Newcombe and Rev. 11. S; Hamilton at All Saints’ Church last evening. At the close of the service, a social of welcome to Rev. and Mrs. Davies was held in All Saints’ Hall, where Messrs. J. B. Ward and Richards (Wardens) extended a hearty welcome on behalf of tho parishioners. A song by Mr. C. Wright, recitation by Shirley Andrews, pianoforte trio by three little girls, and a pianoforte solo by’ Miss Joyco Andrews constituted a short programme. Mr. Davies thanked the parishioners for the welcome extended to Mrs. Davids and himself, and asked for tho co-operation of tha people in liis work. Supper having been dispensed by the ladies, the social concluded with the singing of the National Anthem.
