PROTECTION FOR GOVERNMENT. (BY CABLE —PRESS ASSN. —COPYRIGHT.! (Received August 10, 11 a.m.) WASHINGTON, August 9. The Senate’by 53 to 24 votes passed the measure prohibiting suits against the Government, based on dollar devaluation, similar to, but more stringent, than the measure previously adopted by the House. The Senate version contains a clause permitting six months’ grace within which to .file suits after the Act becomes law.
‘The House must now act on this clause before the measure is sent to the President for signature.
