WELLINGTON MAN FINED. [per press association.] WELLINGTON, June 9. Jack King was fined £5, with costs, on a charge of obtaining relief pay from the City Corporation, by means of false pretences. He was convicted and discharged on two other similar counts. It was stated that he had been working as a carrier. He would call in ah a relief job in the morning, hand in a card, return to the firm with which he was employed, and at night, again hand in the card at the relief job.
