[OUB OWN COBEEBPONDBNT.] REEFTON, August S. The fortnightly sitting of the Magistrate’s Court was held yesterday, Mr H. Morgan, S.M., presiding. The following cases were heard: —M. Winstanley v. Thos Southan. Judgment for plaintiff by default for £6/12/10, costs £l/12/- and solicitor’s fee 15/6. S. Austin v. John Uren. —Judgment for plaintiff by default for £l2/13/-, costs £l/3/-. E. Loughnan, for allowing a horse to stray on the railway line, was fined 10/-, with costs 10/-. At a sitting of the Warden's Court, Mr H. Morgan presided as Warden, The following applications were heard:—Consolidated Goldfields of New Zealand, Ltd., for two ordinary prospecting licenses. —Objected to by James. Bolitho.—One withdrawn and one granted. Mount David Sluicing Company, for renewal of water-race license. —Granted. A. H. Jones, foi leave to amend description and for special alluvial claim.—Granted subject to existing rights and including urea in amended description. Murray Creek Goh; Milling Company, for reduction in rent. —Granted. Consolidated c-'U’s- b’ ■ <•;' New Zealand for four oru y prospecting licenses. — Three granted, and one recommended tor Minister’s consent. A. H. Jones, for water race license and for leave to amend description of same.—Both granted. J. 11. White, for ordinary prospecting license.—Granted. Cumberland Prospecting Company., Ltd., for two ordinary prospecting licenses. —Beth granted. J. J. Mclntosh, for an ordinary prospecting license. — Gianted. A. R. Wallis. Ltd., for aspecial dredging claim. —Adjourned case for reserved decision; application lefuscd; Warden allowed costs to objectors. G. W. Barron and J. F. Coglan for four ordinary prospecting license. - Objected to by A, R. Wallis, Ltd. Warden held over grant until matter <>f fixing compensation between applicant and objector had been lixed.
