NGAHERE BRANCH MEETING. A meeting of the Ngahere District Branch of the New Zealand Farmers Union was held in the hall, Ngahere, on Thursday, the president, Mr W. Fisher, being in the chair. Also present were Messrs T. Craig, F. Jacobs, T Green, J. Burr, C. Cowan, A. Dalziel, G. Fisher and J. Mulcare (hon. sec.). . „ The necessity for a bridge to allow flood waters to get away when the Matai road is raised, was stressed, and it was decided to bring the matter under the notice of the County Engineer. The' proposed agreement with the Grey Hospital Board to provide hospital treatment to financial members was considered and unanimously approved. Messrs Fisher and Dalziel were appointed to represent the Branch at any conference that might be held. It was decided to ask the Grey Valley Branch to co-operate in the opening of the Nancy track as a stock road, members stressing the value of an alternative route and one that is considered shorter. Order systdm and membership matters were briefly referred to.
