A meeting of the West Coast Federation executive of the Women’s Institute. was held in the Druids’ Hall on Thursday. Mrs. Stewart (president) presided, and others present were: Mesdames Mclntyre, Bassett, Meade, Chalk. Black and the secretary Mrs Mead. An apology was received from Mrs. McKay. Mrs. Mclntyre reported the formation of a new institute at Kokatahi. The Federation Committee instructed Mrs. Meade to form one at Nelson Creek. A parcel of 100 cookery books was received from the Grey month W.1., to be sold for the Federation funds. It was decided to invite a nominee from each Institute, the Federation Committee to make final selections from the nominations; that Mrs. Stewart be sent to the annual Dominion conference as the Federation delegate: that the Dominion Federation be asked for the loan collection' following on the Dominion Conference. The Federation has affiliated with the British Drama League.
