RUNANGA NOTES

[OUR OWX CORRESPONDENT.] Mr A. Jenkinson is making good progress in the Grey Hospital, and expects to be discharged next week. A Garden party was held at the residence of Mrs T. Bowes, yesterday afternoon, in aid of St. Thomas Church, and there was a large attend* ance. Games played, and the competitions were won by Mesdames R. Scott, Johnston, A. Winstauley, R. McTaggart, and Radcliffe. Afternoon ‘ tea was served, and, at the conclusion. Rev. Mr Marks thanked those present for their attendance.
